A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,

SASPC September 2017 Challenge - Round Two

Hi, servus and welcome to the second round of inspirational projects - created by Team B this time!
If you haven't taken a look at the makes of Team A and want to do so, simply read to the end of this post, where you will find a link to take you there.  If you haven't checked out who is among our Top5 or one of the prize winners from our summer special challenge, just do the same or scroll to the previous post. ;)

As always (or at least most of the time) the theme for this month's challenge is

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and as always we would like to see any sort of handmade steampunk and/or industrial artsy fun. Be it a card, a tag, an ATC (or two), some altered art or canvas....whatever makes you happy is just fine!

So let's not waste more time and finally get in medias res - the makes of Team B!

Maybe you are in the mood for a small format - then

Maura's

beautiful set of ATCs might be the perfect source of inspiration for you:

She used some of our sponsor boozybear's awesome chipboard pieces
alongside some real watch parts to create her
"Illusion of Time"

had a play with paint pouring, paper clay and the odd DecoArt stencil,
which led to this amazing tag:

had an old home decor piece at home - a ceramics hand - and she decided to alter it as she just loves the beautiful shape of it:

(the perfect home decor piece for the steampunk artist, isn't it?)

and I

Claudia -

had an experimental tag play with a stamped and masked image, a sponge and DecoArt Students', media and Extreme Sheen paints to create a quick fun and messy tag.

My heart runs on....

....steam, of course! ;) What else?

If you want to learn a bit more about how the projects were made or take a closer look, please, visit the blogs of Teams A and B - and if you take a sec to leave a short comment there you will make them very happy! Thank you!

Talking about Team A - here's the promised link to part one of our September challenge (you know that you can always get there by clicking on the badge on top of our side bar, right? but here it comes anyway:) HERE

And HERE is the link to our Top5 and prize winners post for the summer special challenge. Our September challenge still has two more weeks' time to be entered, so don't hesitate - create!
By entering our challenge you get the chance of becoming one of our prize winners for the DecoArt media or the boozybear chipboard prize bundle and/or one of our Top5! We can't wait to see what you will be sharing with us!

Hugs and happy crafting!

  3. I've entered, hope that will be on the news today! I've been working on it this week, and it took me some time to get the rust dry... I hope to enter more! Gorgeous inspiration from the DT... I am saving all sorts of objects, but I am scared it's only going to become worse after seeing that beautiful altered hand!!!
