A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,
SanDee&amelie&the SASPC team

Mid Month Reminder - Top Hats and Moustaches

Servus and welcome to our mid month reminder post for the actual challenge

Top Hats and Moustaches!

It's Team B's turn to share their projects today and you really would make them very happy if you visited their blogs and maybe even left a short comment there. You get to their blogs by clicking on their names. For larger views of their projects simply click on the images.

Hi everyone I did my piece for the blog using Tando
creative Chipboard clock and circle.

I used Deco Art Media paints and mediums to create it also
Frantage embossing powders.

Full details on my Blog,.
Why not have a go and join in with us this month.

my idea was to made a card (15x15 cm) in mixed media style
''I'm heavy on wire'' really simple and fun
for a friend to tell him
Don't worry, be happy!

I still can't quit doing Halloween themed projects - so this time even my make for our Steampunk challenge had to be a spooky art journal page! And doesn't that top hat suit Mr. Skeleton well!

I am enjoying Halloween so much I just had to add a skull to my Steampunk design! Meet Mr. Debonair! He sports a handmade top hat and a wonderful, curled moustache. I wanted to work with a limited color palette so chose white, black, silver, and a punch of red. Carpe Diem! ~Niki

Didn't promise too much, did I? ;)
Our challenge is still open until the end of the month and our randomly chosen winner will receive a prize from Inspiration Emporium this time! So go for it!

Sorry! Belated Top 5 and Winners Post for the September Challenge!

So here they come - our Top5 - and as usual they were really hard to choose and many were close up. Which comes as no surprise as you all keep entering utterly fabulous artwork to our challenges! You are our stars!!!!

Top Hats and Moustaches! - the October Challenge

...starts today and we are so excited to (hopefully) have you play along with us again this month!

Team A are already eager to present their inspirational makes for October and will once more have a hard time voting their personal Top5 from the "Tag it!" September challenge. These - and our prize winner will be announced on Saturday, 10th October. So make sure you check back to find out if you are one of them!

"Top Hats and Moustaches"

are two of the "ingredients" we all love about Steampunk art! So show us your "moustached" canvasses, cards, tags, objects,....those top hats sitting on...well, whatever you think they can sit on. lol

Anyway - we hope you are not too busy with crafting away on Halloween projects only and maybe find some time for a little Steampunk piece too this month.

As usual all media and techniques (except totally digitally created projects) are welcome - as long as they have a steampunk, vintage or industrial theme to them. The challenge will be open until the end of the month and on October 15th there will be a second round of inspiration for you (provided by the lovely ladies from Team B) and our prize sponsor for this month's challenge will be revealed as well!

But now on to the makes of Team A:

Pocket letters, my new toy....
9 ATC, background inked with stencils,
dies, transfert, stamps...

This is my art-jourmanl page about bird which collects curious objects...He couldn't steel moustache, so he took a hat :)

Here is an attempt at a clean&simple steampunk style.
It was quite a challenge for me, to keep things simple - not sure
I managed to keep them clean... ;) Had to remind myself to keep calm
throughout the making process. Check out some close-ups on my blog.

We hope to have you join in our top hats and moustache fun soon!
